Alice Drive Middle School, a nationally accredited STEM school, will host a mini-camp orientation on Friday, August 17, from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Students and parents who will attend ADM for the first time are invited to attend. Through a series of rotation stations, students will tour the campus through a scavenger hunt, explore STEM through a problem-based learning activity, and review the use of chrome books to help ensure everyone gets off to a great start. Tables will be set up featuring information regarding various aspects of student life at ADM to include academics, athletics, parent engagement, and other extra-curricular activities. In addition, students will have the opportunity to have their ID picture taken and meet administrators, teachers, and other staff members. Parents can pay the $20 Chromebook usage fee at this time.
Monday, August 20, is the first day for student attendance. Monday will be designated as our “STEM SOAR Camp.” Students will receive their schedules, review school-wide behavior expectations/procedures and explore STEM through a variety of problem-based learning activities. An open house is scheduled on September 6th from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. for all students and parents.
Drop-Off/Pick-Up Procedures: Parents who bring children to school should enter campus using gate one off of University Drive by making a right turn only. The earliest students may be dropped off in the mornings is 7:10 a.m. To avoid congestion, parents are asked to make a left-turn only when exiting campus out of gate two. Walkers should enter the designated entrance in the gym foyer. In the interest of student safety, please do not drop students off on University Drive, at the front of the school, or in the bus loading/unloading area.
