High Hills Elementary School, Home of the Panthers, serves students in grades four and five. A drop-in orientation will be held Thursday, August 16, from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Parents may visit at their convenience to meet their child’s teachers and tour the school. Parents will also be able to sign up to be a member of the PTA and purchase a Panther Pride t-shirt. The school supply list has been posted on the school’s website and Facebook page. Copies are also available in the main office.
Parents are encouraged to visit and actively participate in school events. Volunteers are always needed. Volunteers working around and with the students must be approved. Volunteer packets will be available at orientation and copies will remain available throughout the year in the main office.
Instruction begins at 7:30 a.m. Students will be marked tardy after 7:25 a.m. Parents will be able to access the school through the Frierson Road gate and the 441 gate. Gates will be open from 6:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. on designated school days. Drop off time for car riders will begin at 6:50 a.m. when adult supervision is provided. Car riders should be dropped off and picked up at the designated area in front of the school. For your child’s safety, please do not drop students off in the school parking lot or on Frierson Road. Walkers and bike riders from Base housing will be able to enter from the back gate. We are very excited to welcome all of the new and returning Panthers to High Hills!
