Crestwood High School will host its orientation session for all parents and students on Thursday, August 11, according to the following schedule:  freshmen and newly enrolled students will meet the administrative team in the Fine Arts Center from 5:45 until 6:00 p.m., followed by the transition to classrooms from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.  Sophomores, juniors, and seniors will meet the administrative team from 6:45 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center, followed by the transition to classrooms from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  Parking will be available in the parking lots in front of the school, fine arts center, and gymnasium.

Details concerning fees, schedules, and other procedures will be printed in the newsletter that will be mailed to parents and students on Thursday, August 4.  Students or parents are asked to contact the guidance office if schedules are not received by Monday, August 8.  Schedule confirmation week will be held August 8 – 11.  Courses will be changed by appointment if there is a legitimate need to meet graduation requirements based on the following schedule: Monday, August 8 – senior confirmation day; Tuesday, August 9 – junior confirmation day; Wednesday, August 10 – sophomore confirmation day; Thursday, August 11 – freshman confirmation day.

Student handbooks, which include school and district expectations, will be distributed on the first day of school.  Parents are respectfully requested to review the handbooks with their students.  The first day of school for students is Monday, August 15, and it is a full day with breakfast and lunch served.

Drop-off and pick-up procedures:  Parents who drive their children to school should arrive in the staff/visitor parking lot no later than 8:35 a.m.; the pick-up time is no later than 4:15 p.m.

Students who drive must arrive at the designated parking lot no later than 8:30 a.m.  Student drivers must complete the school driver safety course, the ALIVE AT 25 training, and complete the application prior to driving to school.  Permits will be issued on a first come/first served basis so student drivers must obtain the permit as soon as possible to avoid being denied permission to drive to school.  Parking permits must be obtained in person; mail-in registration does not include parking permits.
