Reopening of Schools Commitment Form Link (Closed July 29)
Sumter School District will welcome our students back through virtual instruction August 28. Executive staff will re-evaluate our status every two weeks in accordance with CDC/DHEC guidelines. Once it is safe to do so, the district will transition to a hybrid model for instruction. Please note, virtual instruction will remain an option for the entire school year, and parents will be provided a two week notice for any transition to a hybrid model.
In addition, the South Carolina General Assembly has approved funding for five additional in person Learn, Evaluate, Analyze and Prepare (LEAP) days before the start of the 2020-2021 school year. Although student attendance is not mandatory, these days must be offered to students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade.
In an effort to plan accordingly for adequate staffing and transportation for both the LEAP days and the transition to hybrid instruction, please take a few moments to complete this form. A separate form must be completed for each child. Thank you!
The survey will close at 5 PM Wednesday, July 29.
