We are excited to start a new year of learning at R.E. Davis College Preparatory Academy, where we Seek excellence, Work Hard, Observe rules and procedures, Respect ourselves and others and Do the right thing. Orientation for students in Prekindergarten through Grade 5 will be held Thursday, August 11 from 9 – 10:30 a.m. Students in Grades sixth – eighth will have orientation on Wednesday, August 10 from 1 – 2:30 p.m. During the start of each orientation, parents/guardians and students are asked to join the administration team in the gym. Students and parents/guardians will then have an opportunity to report to the child’s assigned classroom to meet with the teacher.
School will begin promptly at 7:30 a.m. and dismiss at 2:20 p.m. Student uniforms are not mandatory this year. Students should adhere to the Sumter School District board policy on dress code.
We look forward to an exciting year of learning and growth. The first day of school for Grades 1-8 is August 15. Students in prekindergarten and kindergarten will start on August 22.
Drop-Off/Pick-Up Procedures: Morning drop-off time for car riders is 7–7:30 a.m. at the front entrance near the gym. The afternoon pickup location is the same as the morning drop-off. Dismissal is from 2:20 to 2:35 p.m.
